of wireless security technology

North St. Paul, Minnesota – November 12, 2002 – GE Interlogix, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), has announced the winners in its 7th annual Wireless Awards contest. These winners demonstrate the benefits of GE Interlogix wireless technology to consumers and security dealers. Winners were announced in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, during the 17th annual GE Interlogix National Dealer Sales Meeting.

Wireless Award categories include Best Wireless Residential Installation, Best Wireless Commercial Burglary Installation, Best Wireless Commercial Fire Installation, and Most Innovative Use of Wireless Technology. Entries were judged on the way they demonstrate GE Interlogix Wireless’: 1) ability to provide reliable security in spite of challenging environmental factors; 2) cost saving installations; 3) flexibility in pure wireless or hybrid wireless systems; 4) value to the end-user in a quick, clean, and professional installation; and 5) effectiveness in saving lives and property and in deterring intruders.

Wireless Winners, again!!

True Steel Security of North Bay, Ont., has won a merit award in the GE Interlogix 7th annual Wireless Awards contest. Announced in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, during the GE Interlogix National Dealer Sales Meeting, winners were selected based on their ability to demonstrate the benefits of GE Interlogix wireless technology to consumers and security dealers.

True Steel's award came in the Most Innovative Use of Wireless Technology category for its use of a Simon system to protect disabled residents at the West Nipissing Association for Community Living. With the system it installed, staff members can monitor the activities of residents as the system sends panic signals to the monitoring station in emergency situations.

True Steel named a winner in the International Wireless Award!

Canadian Winners
True Steel Security of Sudbury, Ont., and Brigadier Security Systems, Ltd. of Saskatoon, Sask., were amongst the winners at the Interlogix Security & Life Safety Group's 6th annual Wireless Awards. Announced in Cancun, Mexico, during the annual Interlogix National Dealer Sales Meeting earlier in November, Brigadier won the Best Wireless Commercial Installation for the panic protection system it installed at the Saskatoon Correctional Centre.
As for True Steel, it took home the Merit Award in the Best Wireless Residential Installation category.

Interlogix announces Wireless Award winners and True Steel Security of Northern Ontario makes the grade! True Steel taps the full 76 zone power of the ITI Concord Integrated wireless/hardwire panel for intrusion, carbon monoxide, smoke, PIR, temperature, and water monitoring plus wireless system, light, and garage door control. The expansive new home was already finished when True Steel got the job, and the system's wireless capabilities spared the company and the customer the added costs of a hardwire retrofit.

All entries are judged on the way they demonstrate Interlogix Wireless:

bullet

Ability to provide reliable security in spite of challenging environmental factors.

bullet

Flexibility in pure wireless or hybrid wireless systems.

bullet

Value to the end-user in a quick, clean, and professional installation.

bullet

Effectiveness in saving lives and property and in deterring intruders.

Our congratulations go to the sales and technical staff for doing a superb job.

It feels good to know that the company that secures your business, home and family is right up there with the best in the world!
