True Steel Announces A New Alliance With "Our Children, Our Future" True Steel Security has announced a new
The goal of the alliance is to make homes and communities safer and more secure. At the heart of the alliance is an education campaign, aimed at reducing child abuse and other root causes of criminal behavior. 26% of children who are abused or neglected become delinquents. 13% of all violence can be linked to earlier child treatment. Turbulent child-parent relationships and lack of intimacy are factors in the profile of a potentially dangerous child. In response to these statistics, we have partnered with "Our Children, Our Future", a local organization that is dedicated to supporting families. Together we believe that Healthy Children = Healthy Families = Healthy Communities. "Our security systems are a great answer to combating the symptoms of unhealthy families" said John Whitehead, General Manager of True Steel Security. Those symptoms are juvenile delinquency resulting in break and enter, theft, and vandalism. "But as a member of this community we want to make a bigger difference...a more permanent difference. We want to address the root of the problem, not just the symptoms. We want to help parents build a secure and loving home for their children. We want to help them raise nurtured, competent children. Our goal is to reduce child abuse and other root causes of criminal behavior." Parent education and support are a key part of the Security Pro campaign. For example, the Security Pro web site at www.securitypro.com includes excerpts from Meld's "Hands On Help" series of practical tips for parents. Topics include how to avoid mealtime madness, the benefits of visitation for parents and kids, child support: rights and responsibilities, and choosing children's books, among several others. The "Our Children, Our Future / True Steel" connection makes sense, given their history of success with families. They have helped thousands of parents in our community make positive changes in their lives that directly impact on their children, our future! "It's not enough to merely detect crime," said John Whitehead. "We're in this business to help reduce crime. I have never seen a campaign and resource center that has more to offer to parents, educators and the public safety community than We are incorporating the entire concept into our business strategy." True Steel Security specializes in residential security and has been in the Sudbury community for over thirty years. Security Pros are part of a worldwide network of 240 security companies dedicated to the highest professional standards of security system design, installation, and monitoring. It is True Steel Security's vision that together, we can make a difference!
A Word From... Our Children, Our Future Our Children, Our Future are very impressed with the "Security Is A Family Matter" campaign. It truly is in line with our own vision and goals. All parents, expecting parents, educators, and care givers in general should take advantage of this educational program by visiting: www.securityisafamilymatter.comWe feel quite fortunate about our relationship with True Steel Security. The fit between their campaign and our agency is a good one. There is no doubt that Our Children, Our Future will benefit from this association.
