Taking Care of You, Your Family and Your Home

Sudbury · North Bay · Timmins

MARCH 2001, ISSUE 12

You care deeply for your family and have invested in an alarm system to protect them. Maybe you have family and friends who care just as deeply for their families but who have yet to learn all of the benefits of having a monitored fire and burglar alarm.

Give us the names of these people and for each of them who purchases a system within six months of your referral you will receive three months worth of free monitoring. If you prefer, you can have them call us directly, but in order to enjoy your free monitoring please make sure that they tell us that you referred them.

If after we’ve spoken to your friends and/or family they decide that they are not interested in a system we will leave them as friends. No uncomfortable situations. No pressure. We will be happy to know that one more person has the knowledge required to make an informed decision about the security of their home or business. Some of our clients provide us with so many names that they rarely pay for the monitoring of their system. Call and ask one of our representatives about our “Cash for Caring” program.

Did You Know?

Your alarm system may communicate to the monitoring station over your telephone line. Telephone service can be interrupted for any number of reasons, including “line cuts” by burglars! No telephone line means no signal to the monitoring station.

That is why we are pleased to announce our new partnerships with both Uplink and Alarm Net to bring you Secured Monitoring for greater protection at an affordable price. If your regular telephone line is not working, your alarm system will simply use the cellular network to communicate with our monitoring station.

For more information, please contact one of our sales representatives.

Reminders for our
Monitored Clients

When you accidentally set off your alarm, we are forced to dispatch police unless you remember your passcode and give it to the staff member who calls your home to verify the alarm. This is done so that someone breaking into your home cannot pretend to be you and cancel police response.

Your keyholders should be familiar with the operation of your system in order to properly fulfill their responsibilities. They should also have a key to the home/business and they should remember their codes.

If changes occur in your monitoring details it is very important to notify the monitoring station. Examples of such changes are a keyholder moving away, an employee being fired or quitting, new hours of operation, changes in your keyholders’ or your own contact information.

Staying on top of these issues allows our monitoring station to provide you with the quality service that you deserve.

Free Fingerprint Offer

When a child is missing, minutes count, and police need current information if they are to conduct an effective search. The new “Family Safety & Security Fingerprint Kit” gives police all the information they need.

With space for a current photo, fingerprints, and physical ID data, the kit is a comprehensive resource in an emergency. Also designed to educate, the kit includes helpful safety and security tips for both kids and adults. For your free fingerprint kit, call your local True Steel Security.

Three Food Safety Myths

v      “If it tastes OK, it’s safe to eat.” You can’t rely on your sense of taste, smell or sight to determine if a food item is safe.

v      “No one has ever gotten sick by the way we’ve always handled our food.” Many food-borne illnesses are undetected, or misinterpreted as the flu.

v      “It has only been a couple of hours.” Many food-borne illnesses can develop within a half-hour.

View your Office, Factory, Home or Cottage. . . Anytime, Anywhere in Real Time,
Live over the Internet!

With remote monitoring and video surveillance equipment, security dealers can now offer a little piece of mind via the Internet. A world of new possibilities has been opened up with the advent of high speed Internet.

Any location with Closed Circuit Television (surveillance cameras) can now be viewed, by its owner, manager, from anywhere in the world, at any time of the day.

Imagine that you’re out of town on a family vacation. You’re supposed to be enjoying yourself but can’t help thinking of the rash of break-ins that has plagued your business’ neighbourhood. Concerns, such as this one, can really take a lot away from what would otherwise be a perfect getaway. With remote monitoring you can log on the Internet and get a real time view of exactly what the cameras in your business are recording. You’re able to see that all is well and therefore continue your vacation with nothing but family fun on your mind.

Remote monitoring is also the perfect tool for the manager who wants to monitor his employees from any location. Another benefit is that you can now view your premises to ensure that it is safe to enter after an alarm has been received by your monitoring station. If you require further information regarding remote monitoring please call your local True Steel Security office.
